The Future of Life in the Zeroes

Published by admin under Example Essays

Today a small piece of plastic enables you to make a telephone call from anywhere in the world to anyone in the world. A mobile phone no bigger than a playing card would electronically transmit words to a computer screen, send a fax and receive replies on its tiny screen. Technology that was once science fiction-is now with you.

As we have entered what some call that “Zeroes” (the opening years of the new millennium), the future life has already begun to happen. Take a look in your bag or briefcase and you may find another small piece of plastic on which you can play your favourite music. Look on your wrist and it is possible that you’re wearing the latest digital watch featuring GPS, which can pinpoint your exact location on the planet via satellite. Continue Reading »

Barrack Obama

Published by admin under Example Essays

Can Barrack Obama be the next President of the USA?

Barrack Obama is a Junior United States Senator from Illinois, and a running candidate for the Democratic Party’s nomination for the 2008 Presidential elections against Hilary Clinton, ex-First wife of Ex-President Bill Clinton. Obama already broke boundaries as the fifth and current African-American serving in the US Senate. He graduated from Columbia University and Harvard Law School. However, Obama’s “blackness” was put in question because of his inheritance. His father came from Kenya and his mother is white American. This was put into question every time talks about America being ready for a Black president emerge. As with the pros and cons, Obama’s political agendas are not any different from Clinton’s platform. It’s just that he is Black and male, and Clinton is white and female. Both are banking on their weakness points (Black and Female) to arouse vote sympathies and to prove that one can go beyond his or her weakness point to serve the great country of America, if he or she would be elected President. Is USA Ready for a Black President?

Published by admin under Example Essays

The United States presidential election happens every four years and it gives the prime most position in the world to the “lucky” presidential winner and this winner would render a four-year term starting at midday on Inauguration Day, a year after the election. The election is conducted in various states, no through the federal government.

The trend since the beginning is the transfer of power between two political parties, the Democrats and the Republicans. Each election, both parties would nominate candidates within the organization and these feasible candidates would battle each in other in the polls as the party’s leading candidate for the Presidential elections, therefore, there would only be two Presidential Candidates each time. One Democrat and one Republican. Continue Reading »

The Mission of the Community College

Published by admin under Example Essays

South Carolina. Minority students represent 6 to 8 percent of all students enrolled in higher education, yet they constitute nearly 60 percent of the total enrollment in community colleges. These enrollment trends have been consistent over the last 25 years (Nora 1993).

Attrition rates of both minorities and non-minorities continue to be a serious problem in most community colleges. Figures on the persistence rates of community college students reported 10 or even 20 years ago are no different today than those cited in earlier studies.

In a national study of minority and non-minority student populations in both two and four-year institutions, attrition rates for all groups are still high. While the attrition rates at certain institutions may imply that students are not dropping out as much as in the past, the researchers note that the withdrawal trend at community colleges is still widespread, especially with regard to minority students. Why Men Cannot Be Superior To Women

Published by admin under Example Essays

The International Declaration of Women’s Day this month, March 8 to be exact, purports to enshrine the essence and importance of womanhood, of the gentler sex. That there ought to be such a celebration, especially given the absence of its counterpart “Man’s Day” is an admission of the yet underdog status of women in the world of mankind. Such a reminder of the import of women, or rather the lack of its recognition, tends to elicit the question that has almost always been at the back of our adult minds if not at the tips of our tongues – are man and woman, or if you may, woman and man, different but equal?

This classic, timeless gender question brings with it a host of related riddles on Homosapien’s psycho-physiological profile and origins. Is man greater than woman? Or is it that woman is really superior to man? Who came first, woman or man? Continue Reading »

Personal Theory on Personality

Published by admin under Example Essays

Personality is a hard thing to understand and who will understand it will control the world. In this research I want to analyze two theories and show how they are close to my own theory of personality.

The first theory is based on the works of Karl Gustav Jung. Like Freud he devoted himself to the study of dynamic unrealized drawings on a human behavior and experience. But his learning was a little different from Freud’s. Jung told that that maintenance of unconscious there is nothing greater, than low-spirited sexual and aggressive motives. According to Jung’s theory on personality, as known as analytical psychology, individuals are motivated by some psychical forces and appearances, the origin of which leaves deep into history evolution. This innate unconscious contains some spiritual material which has deep roots, which explains the aspiring to the creative self-expression and physical perfection of humanity. Continue Reading »
